Check List
  
Complete and mail your CMMC Preadmission form with photocopy of front and back of your insurance card.
   
Complete and mail your Birth Certificate Information form.
  
Enroll in prenatal classes:
  • Prenatal Breastfeeding 
  • Childbirth Refresher 
  • Childbirth Preparation
  • Sibling Classes 
  • Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultation
  • Women's Center Orientation
  • Car Seat Safety 
Select your support people for labor.
 
Talk with your doctor or nurse midwife about your options during birth.
 
Bring a copy of your prenatal records with you to the hospital if given to you by your physician or clinic.
 
Select a doctor to care for you baby after the birth.
 
Pack bags for yourself and your baby.
 
Keep bags in the car until after your baby is born.
 
Keep jewelry and money at home.
 
Bring any routine medications with you to the hospital to show your nurse.
 
Make arrangements for the care of children and pets during your stay
 
Make a "trial run" to the Women's Center
  
Determine the best route and one or two alternate routes
 
Find the main entrance and park in the adjacent parking lot
  
Install the baby's car seat in your car and learn how it works. For dates and times of car seat checks, call (601) 376-1036
 
If you want family and friends to visit you in the Women's Center, tell them about our guidelines for maternity visitors.
 
Children may visit you if they are in good health and have the recommended immunizations. For their safety, visitors younger than age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
