Program Structure

Our standard weight management program consists of four phases:

Initial Assessment

Based on your medical condition and personal goals, we will work with you to determine what course of treatment is best for you.

Active Weight Loss

During this phase, which typically lasts for 12 weeks, all patients meet weekly in a lifestyle changes group that will help you with your food and nutrition habits. Also, depending on your own treatment program, you may meet with our physician and have lab work done on a regular basis. Patients consume most, if not all, of their daily nutrition from OPTIFAST® Formula and/or Nutra Recipes™ nutrition bars.

Transition phase

During this phase, which typically lasts for 6 weeks, you will gradually transition back to food. All patients meet with the dietitian for a personalized meal plan and continue to meet weekly in the lifestyle change group.

Maintenance Program

A personalized eating and activity plan will be made for each patient. You will learn how to manage your weight long-term and how to deal with temporary setbacks before they become problems. Because studies show that people who remain actively involved with maintenance/education support groups have a significantly higher degree of success, we will encourage you to attend our on-going Support Group functions.
