Eligibility

Respiratory Scholarships will be available at CMMC for students who are pursuing an allied health degree at an accredited institution in Mississippi. Scholarships will be paid for a two-year AD program or the last two years of a BS program. If an applicant has completed at least one year of a respiratory program, the two-year scholarship will be paid retroactively.

Selection Criteria

The selection process will require the applicant to submit the following:

• An application completed by the student (Click here to complete the application online)
• Letters of reference from two teachers
• Transcript of grades from high school and all colleges attended
• Copy of letters of acceptance in an accredited allied health program
• A written statement by the applicant regarding their reason for pursuing this field of study, career goals, and a summary of their past achievements
• Interview with the scholarship selection committee

Scholarship Requirements

Students must maintain a 2.75 or higher cumulative grade-point average in order to remain eligible for this scholarship. The students must submit a copy of their grades at the end of each semester in order to be eligible for continuation of the scholarship. The student also agrees to inform the hospital of any change of address or name throughout the duration of the scholarship and until any indebtedness is paid in full.
