Central Mississippi Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Shannon L. Brown to the Administrative team as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Brown served as Chief Operating Officer at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Cleveland, Texas.
Brown received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Texas and in 2005 completed the Mays MBA Program at Texas A&M University.
Brown began his career in healthcare in the Laboratory, working his way up to administrative director of Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary and Rehabilitation Services at Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas and administrative director of Laboratory Services and Central Scheduling at Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe, Texas. In 2005, he served as Director of Regional Operations for Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates in Houston, Texas. Then in 2006 became Chief Operating Officer at Christus Medical Group in Houston, Texas.
Brown and his wife are the parents of two daughters.
