Central Mississippi Medical Center welcomes Paul Benjamin Kerr, M.D., to its medical staff and the practice of Jackson Neurosurgery Clinic. Dr. Kerr is a board certified fellowship trained neurosurgeon who is relocating to Jackson, MS from Washington, D.C.
Dr. Kerr received a medical degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. He completed an internship at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, AL, followed by a residency at The George Washington University Department of Neurosurgery in Washington, D.C. where he received the Neurosurgical Resident Award for Excellence and Compassionate Clinical Care. He was a clinical research fellow in the Surgical Neurology Branch in The National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. Dr.
Kerr is a member of the American Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and, American Association of Neurological Surgeons. His special interests include cranial surgery – brain tumors and aneurysms, minimally invasive spine surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and interventional pain management.
